Kanye West Releases His “Lost” Album Donda 2. Now He’s an Artist Named Donda
Donda is the artist name under which the release has been uploaded to platforms.
The roots of Donda 2 trace back to early 2022, when the rapper announced in a social media post that the sequel to Donda would drop in February, with Future serving as executive producer.
Initially, the album was available exclusively on the Stem Player device—bypassing traditional streaming services. Some tracks from the project were later reworked and given to other artists, including Fivio Foreign and The Game.
The current version of Donda 2, released on Tuesday evening across various streaming platforms, includes 18 tracks, many of which were part of the original version. Most of the songs remain unchanged, although some have been renamed. Future appears on several tracks, including “Happy” and “Mr. Miagi.” The song “5:30,” which previously appeared on West’s Vultures 2 with Ty Dolla $ign, is also in the tracklist but in a shortened version.
Jack Harlow appears on “Louie Bag,” while Sean Leon materializes in “SCIFI.” The latter track also features the voice of Kim Kardashian, saying: “I married the best rapper of all time. He’s the richest Black man in America. A real genius who gave me four incredible, gifted children.”
Back in March, Kanye released Bully as a short film, in which his son Saint West wrestles in a ring against YOH, Toru Yano, Tiger Mask, and El Desperado, wielding an inflatable hammer. The video soon disappeared from social media, leaving the fate of Bully and its official release uncertain.
The album Donda 2 is now available on YouTube Music, Spotify, and Tidal.
